MOTD: Soft Glam-Pink & Flirty

Hey guys! Today I am just posting a recap of the makeup I wore this past Valentine’s Day for my date night with my lovely valentine. I decided to post this look after the fact because I think it is the perfect soft glam for any occasion, whether it be Valentine’s Day, a night out or even for an event like prom or a wedding. So if you’re interested in seeing how I created this soft glam look, please keep reading.

FACE:

For the face, I wanted to have a flawless base for the skin to achieve a very clean and soft look- so full coverage is what I went for!

For foundation, I used the Make Up Forever Ultra HD Foundation mixed with the new Maybelline Dream Velvet Soft Matte Hydrating Foundation. Both of these together created a beautiful satin finish to the skin, blurring out any imperfections while still looking like skin. I love this combination for nights out as it has amazing staying power. s1708924-main-hero-300Maybelline-Foundation-Dream-Velvet-Classic-Ivory-041554457759-400x355.png

To conceal and brighten the under eye area I used the Sephora Bright Future Gel Serum Concealer. This is an amazing product to brighten up the under eyes, it doesn’t crease provided that it is set with a powder and it doesn’t oxidize throughout the night- so it stays bright until you remove it. s1686211-main-hero-300.jpg

To set the face as well as contour I used the Anastasia Beverly Hills Cream Contour Kit as well as the Powder Contour Kit (both in light-medium) to achieve a structured face and to set everything in place. I have previously mentioned these before so I won’t go into great detail; however, I love these kits together, they work amazing! s1734730-main-hero-300.jpgs1615186-main-zoom

For blush and highlight, I used the Smashbox Blush Rush in the shade “Heart Break” (so fitting for V Day) which is a beautiful berry pink shade. I love this blush because it isn’t super matte, is has some luminosity to it which adds a beautiful sheen to the skin! To highlight I used my favourite Becca highlight in “Champagne Pop” (what else is new…).

EYES:

For the eyeshadow, I kept everything super soft and simple! I used one palette to create the entire eye look which was the Make Up Forever Artist Palette in Volume 1 which is filled with every nude, neutral shade you will need to create any look! I love this palette for soft glam. (In the video below you will see which shades I used to create the look!)s1688712-main-hero-300.jpg

To create that perfect arched brow, I used my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz, in “Soft Brown” and set them in place with ABH Tinted Brow Gel in “Caramel” s1488337-main-hero-300s998856-main-hero-300.jpg

For lashes I used the Ardell “Wispies” which are the perfect lashes when you want to add some volume, but don’t want to go to glam. I love these for an every day lash!products_img_50.jpg

LIPS:

To line my lips I used Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Liner in the shade “Trick” and filled them in using NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in “06 Instanbul”. This lip cream lasted pretty good throughout the night, I had to touch up once after having eaten dinner, otherwise it held up amazing! CCP-TRI_grandeA601460.jpg

I have attached a short video from my Instagram (@glambysam_) where I glammed up the look even more adding dramatic lashes and liner, so you can truly see how versatile this look is and how easy it is to manipulate it to your liking!

For the liner in this look I used Inglot AMC Gel Liner in #77 (Black) and for lashes I used Rock Style Love Lashes in the style “Rockstar.

I hope you all enjoyed this look as well as your Valentine’s Day! Please share and follow if you enjoyed this. Thank you for taking the time to read today.

Talk to you soon! Xx
